Our Class Assembly
Rooms 9 and 10 have been very busy over the past couple of weeks practising for our school assembly. For a few of us this would have been our very first time on the school stage! We shared some of our work on 'Ako,' talking about some of the things we have managed to teach each other. We also sang some lovely songs including the "Individuality" song and "The More We Learn Together."
Swimming Art
This term we have had great fun learning new swimming skills as part of our Hilton Brown Swimming programme. We got to go down to the pool each day for two weeks for lessons with our fantastic instructors. In class we followed this up by writing some recounts about what we had done, as well as some lovely art work. We created these colourful swimming portraits by drawing ourselves, and using vivid pens to do the outlines and oil pastels to colour in our bodies. We did the backgrounds by using white oil pastels to do the bubbles and then cold water dye to do the water. You can come and see our work which is on display in the school hall. We hope you like our pictures!
